Hello, my fellow Eddi-philes. Found a couple of clips on YouTube. Here she is singing Ae Fond Kiss at Celtic Connections in 2006

Just joining coz I've seen Eddi play live a couple of times now and I just bought her Robert Burns CD but haven't listened to it yet. It's so great top see so many non-scottish people listen to Eddi and buy her CDs! Go You guys! Whoo!

Hullo all! Hope you don't mind me dropping by unannounced hehe but its nice to see people who appreciate a singer who is known for what she should be, her gorgeous voice. I just got a copy of the Robert Burns CD (had to order it though, sadly enough stores in the States don't sell it right off) and I have fallen in love with it ::melts:: I have long since been a fan of Burns' poetry and was listening to this album as a backdrop to my book on Mary Queen of Scots. Ah the perfect things in life, like a cup of tea...off for now!

The Songs of Robert Burns [22 Jan 2004|04:51pm]

[ mood | cheerful ]

Just dropping by to say how much I love Eddi Reader's album "The Songs of Robert Burns." I was in Scotland last September and during my stay in Edinburgh, I picked a copy of the Burns album! It has become one of my most listened to CD's! I was familiar with Eddi's work with Fairground Attraction and always loved "The First of a Million Kisses" album. So that, coupled with my love of the poetry of Robert Burns and Scotland, was the motivation for buying this album...and I'm so glad I did! I don't have any of Eddi's other albums, so any recommendations on which one I should purchase next would be greatly appreciated!
